Privacy Policy for Wrong Way Survivor

Effective Date: 9 September 2026

Welcome to Wrong Way Survivor, developed by CodeCosmos. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use our mobile application, who it is shared with, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

We do not ask you for, and we do not collect, directly identifying information such as your name, postal address, phone number, or email address.

However, the app and the third-party services it uses automatically collect certain information, including:

Please note that under privacy laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), identifiers of this kind — including your advertising ID and IP address — are treated as personal data. We describe below who receives this information and why.

2. Gameplay Data

Your gameplay progress is stored locally on your device using your device's standard app storage. This includes:

This progress is not uploaded to our servers, and we do not sell or trade it. You can erase all of it at any time from within the app by opening Settings and selecting Reset Progress. Uninstalling the app also removes this locally stored data.

If you have haptic feedback enabled, the app makes your device vibrate during gameplay. This happens entirely on your device and involves no collection of information.

3. Advertising

The app displays third-party advertisements (banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads). Rewarded ads are shown only when you choose to watch one.

We use the following advertising partners:

Partner Role Privacy Policy
Google AdMob Primary advertising provider and mediation platform policies.google.com/privacy
Unity Ads (Unity Technologies) Additional advertising provider, served through AdMob mediation unity.com privacy policy

These partners may collect and process your advertising ID, IP address, device information, and general (non-precise) location in order to select and measure the ads shown to you. Where you have consented, this may include personalized advertising. Information collected by these partners is governed by their own privacy policies, linked above.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase (provided by Google) to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. This service collects app usage events such as runs started and finished, distance driven, scores achieved, in-game currency earned and spent, cars unlocked and upgraded, missions completed, and ads shown, along with device and app version information.

Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in Firebase's privacy documentation.

5. How Your Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

Information is shared with the advertising and analytics providers named in Sections 3 and 4 so that they can deliver and measure advertising and provide analytics on our behalf. Each provider processes that information according to its own privacy policy.

6. Your Choices and Consent

Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Before personalized ads are shown, we ask for your consent using Google's User Messaging Platform. You may accept or decline. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized.

You can change your choice at any time from within the app: open Settings and select Manage Ad Consent. Your updated choice is passed on to our advertising partners.

All users. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings (on Android: Settings → Google → Ads). Doing so limits the ability of ad providers to build a profile associated with your device.

You can also delete all of your locally stored game progress at any time using Settings → Reset Progress inside the app.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can contact us using the details in Section 11, and you may also exercise rights directly with the partners listed above.

7. Children's Privacy

Wrong Way Survivor is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Advertising in the app is limited to content rated suitable for teen and general audiences. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Data Retention

Gameplay progress stored on your device remains until you erase it using Reset Progress, delete it yourself, or uninstall the app. Data collected by our advertising and analytics partners is retained according to their own retention policies, described in the privacy policies linked above.

9. Data Security

We value your trust and use commercially reasonable means to protect your information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to maintain a safe and reliable app experience.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add or remove an advertising or analytics partner. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
